Day 1 of term 1 2018 is not a normal school day!

'Chaucer Family - Meet the Teacher'

Dear Parents/Caregivers

School starts on Wednesday 7 February 2018, and we are trialling something new.  Every parent/caregiver is invited to book a time to meet with your child's new teacher.  This is an opportunity for you and your child to lead the conversation, to talk about your family, ask questions and for the teacher to also share information and ask questions.  The aim is to reinforce the partnership we have with you as we work together to empower our confident learners.

The booking process is exactly the same as it was for booking student led conferences earlier this year.

To book your time, go to  www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/code and enter the event code 7w79k (see separate letter for full instructions).

Note:   Day 1  is not a normal school day!

This means that you and your child will only be at school for your 15 minute meeting with your child's teacher.

No childcare/supervision will be available at school so please make arrangements for your child to be looked after on that day.

Day 2 Thursday 8 February is a normal school day with all classes open as normal from 8.30am and a 3pm finish as normal.

Book School Interviews Online

Empowering Confident Learners

Dear Parents/Caregivers

We are using the online booking system for 'Chaucer Family' - Meet the Teacher on day 1 of term 1 2018.  The following times will be available and you will be booking a 15 minute conference (see separate letter).

• 8.30am  - 10.15am  Wednesday 7 February 2018
• 11.00am - 11.45am  Wednesday 7  February 2018
• 12.45am -  1.45pm   Wednesday 7 February 2018
• 2.15pm   -  4.45pm   Wednesday 7 February 2018
• 5.45pm   -  6.45pm   Wednesday 7 February 2018

To book your interviews, go to www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/code and enter the event code 7w79k  then follow these three simple steps.

1.     First enter your name, your student's name, and your email address.

If you need to book for more than one student, change the "Book for x students" setting, and enter the other student's name.

2.     On the next page, pick the teachers you want to meet.

3.     Then you'll see a timetable showing when your chosen teachers are available.  Simply click on the times that suit you.

When you have finished, your interview timetable will be emailed to you.  You can return to the site and enter the event code 7w79k again to change or cancel your interviews.

If you don't have internet access, no problem, please either:

Come to the school office and you can use a school device to make a booking (office open Feb 1 & 2  9am - 2pm)

or

Call the school office (phone (09) 626 6699, see dates above) and we will be able to make a booking for you.
