Hi Parents & Caregivers,![]()
We have just been notified by NZEI that there will be Paid Union meetings for teachers this Wednesday 31 May 1-3pm.

If you are unable to pick up your child early you must email the office at:
admin@chaucer.school.nz

Hi Parents & Caregivers,![]()
We have been informed by NZEI that teachers & Principals will be striking on Thursday 16 March.
As most of our teachers are members of NZEI we have made the decision to close the school on that day.![]()
This from NZEI:
Members have voted to strike because the funding for our schools is not sufficient to give teachers and principals the time and resources to teach. More resourcing is needed to ensure that:![]()
*all of our tamariki thrive, and
*we can retain our quality educators and school leaders in the sector.
We fully support the teachers in this action.![]()
Best wishes,
